When their abbey is faced with closure, two nuns Ana and Angela -- who also happen to be lovers -- must come up with prestigious sponsorship of some sort in order to save it.
The sickly Sister Angela comes up with the idea to attract patronage by falsifying the appearance of Stigmata on her body. Ana reluctantly helps her lover bring the plan to fruition.
