Sacro e Profano has euro porn written all over it. An overwhelmingly brown and grey colour palette, hot surgically unenhanced female performers, seedy looking blokes, some queasily raw close ups and autistically head bobbing blowjobs, all this doesn't feature is the kind of extreme pounding they seem to go for on the continent. Amusingly none of the men ever take their trousers off, just unzip their flies and sling out the old meat and two veg, and the helpful subtitles for the dubbed over german and itailian audio tracks throw up such poetic gems as "Right up the arse! Sing hallelujah!"

Despite the cover, less than half of the sex in this rather short feature involves nuns in habits, the rest is typical euro fare with all the blokes leaning to one side so as not to obscure the action. There are a few hot blowjob and cowgirl shots, but editing cuts them up and spreads them frugally between a lot of very dull sex for an overall uninteresting experience.

If Sacro e Profano were just dull it'd be passable "satellite porn" type fare, but even it's meat and potatoes appeal is marred by the audio. The sex scenes have been dubbed over with lots of rapid heavy breathing that's far more grating than it is erotic, the german dub being more guttaral and grunting than its more passive itailan alternative. Even worse is the positively creepy music, guitar, percussion and piano tinkling randomly over a scary synth drone.

DVD
Better than average picture quality, not artefaced but still low detail with a very "digital video" look. The mono sound is unremarkable, but when a soundtrack is mostly unsynched breathy moaning quality is hard to judge. You don't get any extras apart from a few stills.

Worth Having?
The theme raises this above the most straightforward europorn and it's modest fun in a sleazy way, but if you're after erotic entertainment I'd look elsewhere.
