While the sex is hot and nuns are gorgeous and alluring, Der Verbotene Apfel is not without its shortcomings. The movie lacks an overall story to connect everything together. It's almost like a random collection of nun sex scenes. The movie lacks character development and the nuns lack personality. Movies like Scheinheligen and even Klöster der Sunde are overall more memorable and more erotic because of the storylines and the characters.

The movie begins with a young man who enters the convent kitchen looking for the Mother Superior. The nun in the kitchen tells him that the Mother Superior is still in the chapel. Then, she accidentally cuts her finger! The man comes to her rescue and kisses the cut to make it better. Then he takes another kiss, and another, and pretty soon he's practically sucking her whole hand. A kiss turns into a grope and then in a great scene, the nun goes down, down, down and descends off the screen. The man throws his head back in ecstasy.

Before he bends her over, the habit comes off -- off camera and he's got her on all fours, taking her from behind. This is a problem that we'll see throughout the film and that was common in Der Schwanze Nonnes von Monza: The habits come off too often and too quickly.

The scene ends with a facial. He unleashes a series of impressive cum shots. Watch closely and you'll see that one of the first streams almost blinds her! It goes right for her eye, but her eyelashes catch it!

She bends down to give him an expert blow job, caressing his cock with her tongue and teasing his shaft with her fingers. She's no amateur! Then, she stops and begins to strip off her habit, again becoming just another pretty face. Actually she looks like she could lose a couple of pounds, in my opinion. The scene ends with another facial and, again, she almost takes it in the eye!

Veteran nun erotica fans will recognize Midolo as the performer who played Monica Roccaforte's father in Il Confessionale. He also played a devilish part in Teufel Kloster. Having seen Midolo in a couple of films by now, I know what to expect from him. We'll see some dirty-old-man-type antics, but no actual sex or penetration on his part. True to form, that's pretty much what we get, but I have to admit it's much more erotic and much better done in this movie than any of the others I've seen him in.

Midolo's character, at first outraged by the excesses of the convent, softens and offers the nun a little quid pro quo. He'll forget about the little indulgences if she'll show him a good time.

He gets her up on the washer and suckles her breasts and eats her out. Then, in the first of the movies two attempts to appeal to foot fetishists, he takes her bare foot and begins rubbing up against his crotch, grinding against it. The foot scene is short. Although I'm not a foot fetishist myself, I can't believe that anyone who is would find it at all satisfying. If you're going to do something like this in a movie, you should go all out.

The full habit comes off eventually, but the scene is almost over by the time it does. The nun seems only partially consensual. She seems to be merely tolerating the molestation at the begining of the scene. Eventually though, she seems to be enjoying some of it. I found this scene to be surprisingly erotic. I wasn't expecting Midolo's usual sterile performance to be this much of a turn on. The fact that the performer stayed in character throughout helped a lot.

Both nuns get turned on by this and they begin kissing. The nun with glasses goes down on the punished nun and makes her undress. The last of the movie's two foot-fetish scenes comes up as the dominant nun with glasses presents her bare foot to her underling. The subordinate nun worships the foot, rubbing it between her breasts and kissing the leg. Again, the scene ends quickly and I can't imagine an actual fetishist finding it to be any more than at tease.

The final scene is called "The Artisan". Without subtitles, I don't know who the artisan is or what he is doing in the convent. However, he manages to seduce a nun. She hikes up her robe revealing a perfect ass. He admires it and kisses it. Then, she's sucking his cock, again giving him an expert blow job, teasing him and carressing him with her tongue.

Der Verbotene Apfel could have been one of the top nun erotica films ever made, but with no story and with the habits coming off so quickly in many scenes, it loses out on being one of my absolute favorites.

The lack of an over-arching story really hurts the film. Il Confessionale only had one nun sex scene, but it's still one of my all-time favorites because the story was so strong. You really got to know the characters and every sex scene was like a personal power trip.

That doesn't mean Der Verboten Apfel is a bad film. The scenes are hot and the nuns are damn sexy. All of the nun sex scenes are expertly filmed and well lit. This movie is a real turn on and I'd still recommend it highly to fans of nun erotica.
